Top Ten Gift Guide

@ WORK GALLERY

Had a lovely day yesterday and popped down to Brick Lane for a wonder and to pick up some Christmas presents. It was really nice down there, very busy as usual and lots of things to see. While I was down there I popped into the @ Work jewellery gallery and had a little look at my jewellery, which is on sale there.

Here are a couple of photos of the display they have.

http://www.atworkgallery.co.uk/

They have two shops, one in Brick Lane and one in Pimlico and between them they have a really great selection of jewellery varying from fine silver to porcelain and fabric giant tassels.

Christmas Tree

Here is a little photo of this years Christmas Tree, it's 5 ft and rather fat and a different variety to normal, in the hope that it isn't bald by the end of the festive period! Our tree was 8 ft last year, which was a bit over the top but also means we still have boxes of un-used baubles as we have only a little tree this year!

Merry Christmas!

Silhouette

I am off to the Silhouette Book Launch this evening, which is taking place on Dover St. I thought the invitation was lovely as you can see below and it's printed into thick card too, which makes it nice and sturdy!

Nasir Mazhar

Just found out that my old hairdresser Nasir, is now an internationally remowned Miliner!

He always said he wanted to be a Miliner and had started to make a few things but we lost touch for some reason. I probably lost my phone with his number. Anyway, he's doing really well and he made the Lady Gaga hat she wore on the Ellen Degeneres Show, see below.

Welldone Nasir!

Diamond in the Sand

My best friend lives in Australia and saw this and thought of me, so she emailed a pic. It's amazing! A huge pink diamond sculpture on a beach. How cool is that? I might have to go and see it in person???????

Caught My Eye!

Oh yeah and this caught my eye too.

Neon

I absolutely love Neon lights and got my name done in Pink Neon last year, it is so nice. Although I don't really get change to turn it on much as Im not in the studio in the dark very often(!), which is a shame really. I almost fancy bringing it home and hanging it in the bedroom? Bit weird?
Anyway, it reminded when I saw these Neon Art pieces the other day by John M Armleder

Kabiri

If you are into your jewellery then you have to make a trip to Kabiri on Marylebone High Street. It is seriously the best jewellery shop in London in my opinion. It has everything from Graduate Collections to Tatty Devine to megga expensive gold and silver fine jewellery. They have a recently opened flag ship store in Covent Garden and a concession in Selfridges Oxford St and everything can be found on the website. And I'm proud to say you can now find Gemma Lister Jewellery in Kabiri. You can find exclusive Rope pieces for Kabiri only in a lovely soft grey.

Vintage Valentino

I think I need a second opinion on this little number. It's a pink and white giraffe print shirt dress, with the biggest shoulder pads you have ever seen. I love it, even though it is a bit bonkers.

What to do?

Have fallen in love with this book, Shop America. It's full of illustrated shop fronts and windows from 1938 - 1950. The colours are just amazing. I wish high streets looked like that now. Everyone would be so much happier.

Square Love

I am loving squares at the moment. I always have really. I love a nice square sitting next to a circle. Opposites attract and all that.

Anyway, I found this really cool square graffiti, which I thought I would share with you.

You will find out exactly how much I love squares very soon!

New Shoes.....

I did quite excited on Saturday morning when the doorbell rang rather early and it was the Post Man, with a delivery for me. I thought it can't be my new shoes, I only ordered them yesterday....... but it was!

I had my eye on some Red Leather Penny Loafers but they were a bit expensive at £120, they did go down to £60 but still didn't quite have the cash, so I went on-line on Friday when I got paid to treat myself and Size 5s had gone! I was a bit annoyed, as they were perfect for walking to work in but on the same website something else caught my eye and at £29 thought they were a real bargain. Printed Snakeskin Leather Boat Shoes.

Honestly they are like wearing slippers, very soft and comfy and as it happens the reason we were up so early on Saturday morning was because we were going to spend the day on Stuarts Boat. The Postman must have known.
